How Setup Fees Work

What "from" pricing means and what moves your number.

Here's the reworked FAQ article, updated to remove public/package pricing while keeping the "how it works" structure intact.

How Setup Fees Work

What shapes your number and how we quote it.

Setup is a one-time fee, quoted before you commit. We don't publish fixed pricing — every build is scoped to what you're actually running, so we quote your number after a short scoping conversation rather than listing a figure that rarely fits.

What You're Paying For

The setup fee covers a complete build: your core channels connected, your agent trained, routing configured, and a knowledge base in place. That's the foundation every engagement starts from. Where your number lands depends on scope — the factors below are what move it.

What Moves The Number

Factor

Effect

Integrations

Native connections are quick. Custom builds are scoped and priced individually.

Channels

Website chat and email are standard. Each additional channel adds configuration.

Knowledge base

Writing one from scratch adds roughly a week of work.

Team complexity

Multiple queues, SLA tiers, and conditional routing take longer to map and test.

Migration

Moving a large historical ticket archive is scoped separately.

Add-ons

In-chat refunds and order edits, custom workflows, multi-store setups.

Software Costs

Your platform subscription is billed by the platform, to you, on your own account. That's separate from our fee, and we'll tell you what to expect during scoping.
