Who Owns Your Account, Data, And Conversation History

You do, from day one.

Written by LucentLayer Support Team

The Account

Your system is built on an account in your name, under your billing, with you as the owner. We work inside it as a configured user with the permissions you grant.

This holds during the 7-Day Pilot as well. The account we build in is yours before we start building.

You

Everything created in the course of the work belongs to you. Content we write for you — help articles, canned responses, policy documentation — is yours outright.

Our Access

We hold administrator access to configure, build, and manage your system. You grant it, you can see it, and you can revoke it at any time from your account settings.

Access to your connected tools — your CRM, your store, your billing — is scoped to what the build needs. We'll tell you the permission level required for each and why. Read access covers most of it.

Where Your Data Sits

On the platform your system runs on, under your account, governed by that platform's security posture and its agreement with you. The platform holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification, with GDPR compliance. We hold your data only where it's necessary to do the work, and under the same standards.

Your Team's Access

You control who on your team can see and do what. We configure roles and permissions during setup, and adjust them on request.

If We Part Ways

You keep everything. The account, the history, the configuration, the content. Nothing is held back, nothing is deleted, and nothing needs to be exported and handed over, because it was never on our side.

You continue running the system yourself, move to another partner, or wind it down.
